April 1988, Finnish aviation authorities forbid use Airfast B720 (N8790R) to fly Finnish tourist to Rodos and Cyprus. Travel agent (Hassen Matkat) had urgently find replacement for rest of just started season. First a month or so, covered by MEA 707s, but then a new operator came in. Air Atlanta Icelandic brought its brand-new acquisition (former Air India VT-DPM) together with TF-IUG on route between North and South Europe. July 1989 as N8880A for Omega Air. WFU at Davis-Monthan AFB, where used as spare parts for KC-135. TF-IUE is reported been shortly used also another B707 (cn 19372).

Note the B707-320B inscription on the fuselage. This is the actual variant. The 337B designation is specific to the the airline which placed the original order (in this case Air India). As is also quite evident on the fuselage, it is ex VT-DPM. It was acquired by Air Atlanta Icelandic at the end of May 88. Whether it was actually operated by them is uncertain. In Aug 89 it went to Omega Air as N8880A and flown to Davis Monthan AFB for AMARC.

Owned by AGES Corp wearing basic Air-India colours but with registration removed. In July 1988 she became EL-AJR of Middle East Airlines. By late 1989 it had arrived at Davis-Monthan AFB to yield up parts for the KC-135E programme.

VT-DPM was delivered in 1964 and sold in 1988.

VT-DSI taxies in after arriving from Perth. Air-India started operating to Sydney in 1956 with Super Constellations.

VT-DVA taxies in after arriving from Mumbai. Saturday's service in 1970 stopped at Chennai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Perth. Tuesday's service dropped KL but continued on to Fiji, where there was a large Indian community.

Making almost certainly its last appearance at LHR, this shiny 707 joined Air India when new in 10.66 and ended its days as N8840A at Davis Monthan being parted out for the KC-135E programme from 1989; the hulk was still extant till at least 2005
