This old Braniff machine terminated passenger services and is ready to leave for storage at Las Vegas. Later transferred to San Antonio TX she was broken up in July 2013.

Ex Braniff N1551, registered 21st Sep 1970 to Mohawk Airlines and merged into Allegheny Dec 1972 and then US Air Oct 1978

Used for anti terrorist training, this is the reason for the many bullet holes in the fuselage.

Seen in fresh Allegheny paint after the merger with Mohawk. Was originally Braniff's N1551 delivered in November 1965.

Before USair, this 111 had served with Braniff as N1551, and Mohawk and Allegheny as N1134J.

Seen just after the merger with a small "operated by Allegheny" sticker on the boarding side. Was Braniff N1551, and ended up as a fire practice aircraft in San Antonio, Texas.

Originally N1551 with Braniff (red livery) and registered N1134J on acquisition by Mohawk in 9.70. Merged into Allegheny 4.72 and USAir 10.79. Wfu at Las Vegas but ferried to San Antonio and used by fire service from 1994
