Great visitor to East Midlands. Delivered new to Sabena as OO-SRE on 24 Mar 1961. Leased to Catair Apr 1976. Bought and registered as F-BYCD on 30 May 1976. To EAS - Europe Aero Service Mar 1978. To Corse Air International Apr 1984 and named Ajaccio. WFU Chateauroux Feb 1987 and preserved. Since scrapped.

The aircraft was owned by the CCI (Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie, the French Chamber of Commerce) at the time, and in this photo it carries additional "Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de l'Indre" titles. Scrapped in 1999.

A splendid array of Caravelles could be seen at Athens in the Eighties - I was fortunate enough to catch 10 different examples on camera over my two visits. This one was originally Sabena's OO-SRE delivered in 3.61 and sold to Catair in 5.76, passing on to EAS (still in SN colours) then Corse Air just over a year prior to this shot. Wfu at Chateauroux 2.87 and preserved by the airport but later scrapped
