Transair leased (and later bought) this F-28 from Fairchild Hiller in October 1972. Pacific Western Airline bought financially troubled Transair in 1977. After merging the two airlines in 1979, the F-28 was sold to Air Niuginii as P2-ANE. In service in the South Pacific until withdrawn in April 2004, the aircraft was scrapped by September.

Time Air 1991 as C-FTAV, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Time Air the Fokker received this polished metal scheme. Canadian Regional 1993, withdrawn 2002 at Saskatoon. By 2020 the Time Air Historical Society aquired the aircraft for preservation at Lethbridge, Time Air's initial headquarters.

One of 25 F28's that came to Saskatoon for scrapping

This 1976 F-28 was first delivered to Garuda Indonesia on July 12th. Returned to Fokker, the aircraft was placed with Piedmont Airlines in 1985. Time Air bought it in January 1991 and it remained through name changes to Canadian Regional and Air Canada Regional until Air Canada Jazz retired it in August 2002 with the F-28 fleet. C-FTAV was stored in Saskatoon, SK where it remains today.

Time Air was founded in Lethbridge, AB in 1966 by Walter "Stub" Ross. Purchasing this F-28 in January 1991, Time Air polished it up for their Silver anniversary and christened the aircraft after the airline's former CEO.

Soon to be history in Toronto when photographed. Transair's Ontario routes were transferred to Nordair in the following months and the airline merged into Pacific Western by the end of the year.
