72-7000 backing up new Air Force One on 82-8000 first trip out of US when taking George H. W. Bush to Finland to have some talks with Mihail Gorbatšov.

Magnificently preserved at the very informative Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is this former "Air Force One" VC-137B 72-7000. The library is located near Simi Valley (CA).

This is the last flight for this former Air Force One aircraft. Shown here being delivered to San Bernardino Int'l airport for preparation to be delivered to the Reagan Library in Simi Valley. Nancy Reagan was onboard and spoke to crowd after landing at SBD.

Entered service as Air Force One during the Nixon administration and was replaced by the VC-25A in 1990. This aircraft was kept as a backup aircraft for the president, and she finally made her last presidential flight on 29.08.01, with George W. Bush and Laura Bush on board. Stored at San Bernadino then moved by road to Simi Valley, CA for display at the Ronald Reagan Library
