This C-7 is actually SE Asia combat veteran 62-4193 but is painted to represent an aicraft flown by Maj. Hunter Hackney on 25 th Aug. 1968. On this day, he flew several low level aerial resupply missions through intense enemy fire, incurring heavy damage, an action for which Hackney was awarded the Air Force Cross.

From 1961, some 159 Caribous were delivered by DHC to the US Army as AC-1s, changed next year to CV-2. Serving widely in SE Asia, when responsibility for fixed-wing transports switched to the USAF in 1.67 they were re-designated C-7. This example joined the Army in 1.63 and wore the tail-codes 'KC' and 'KA' after allocation to the USAF and later 'GE' with the South Vietnamese AF in 1972. To MASDC 3.76 ('YK'). Registered N92NC in 7.90 but ntu; in Western Int'l yard 2006. Behind are 63-9739 and N43888
