Captured at Stanley in the 1982 Falklands conflict. Allocated 8768M.

This captured Pucara was positioned outside the AAC museum. Considering the position of the wheels in the grass it had been there for quite a while.

In 1995 A-528 was moved to Flixton from the North East Aircraft Museum. Now it has been restored to its former glory.

Being used as a ground target in the "Rabbit Range" and has suffered the attentions of Harriers and F4s for a couple of years. Originally damaged by a Sea Harrier attack at Goose Green during the war. The tail fell off whilst being lifted by Chinook and was left behind at Goose Green. Nearby are Huey AE-412 and Turbo Mentor 0730, see here. The wreckage was all cleared away in the early 90s.

Twenty-four Pucaras were dispatched to the Falklands during the conflict in 1982, of which five survived in reasonable condition. This example was selected for performance evaluation trials and shipped back to the UK for testing by the A&AEE (for which she was allocated the serial ZD485). In 1983 she was transferred to the RAF Museum at Cosford where she is now on display in the 'War Planes' hangar.

Seen at a Greenham Common Air Tattoo. This aircraft was seized in the Falklands during the conflict there and brought to the UK for evaluation by the RAF.

This aircraft is seen displayed at the 1977 Paris Airshow. It crashed on 5th May, 1980

The Pucara is an Argentinian designed turboprop powered ground attack aircraft. This example was captured during the Falklands conflict and was brought back to the UK and evaluated by the RAF as ZD487. It is seen here under restoration in the Imperial War Museum Duxford collection
