One of the last Pucarás of Grupo 3 de Ataque (G3A) to reach the Falkland Islands in May 1982 to reinforce Escuadrón Aeromóvil Malvinas. This aircraft was shipped to the UK after being captured in airworthy condition.

This former Argentinan Air Force Pucara was captured by the RAF at Port Stanley, Falkland islands after the end of the armed conflict in 1982. This is the former A-515 (15 still visible on nosewheel door), which was restored to flying condition and operated by the A&AEE for trials. It only flew in the UK from 28 April until 9 September 1983. Since then the aicraft is preserved in the RAF Museum in Cosford.

Twenty-four Pucaras were dispatched to the Falklands during the conflict in 1982, of which five survived in reasonable condition. This example was selected for performance evaluation trials and shipped back to the UK for testing by the A&AEE (for which she was allocated the serial ZD485). In 1983 she was transferred to the RAF Museum at Cosford where she is now on display in the 'War Planes' hangar.

Seen at a Greenham Common Air Tattoo. This aircraft was seized in the Falklands during the conflict there and brought to the UK for evaluation by the RAF.
