This aircraft appeared in amongst a steady stream of Boeing 737s and was a very pleasant surprise.

This aircraft is totally devoid of markings on this side though its registration was carried on the other side.

Delivered to Aeroflot's East Siberia directorate in 2.89 and passed from Baikal to Sibir just after the date of this view; rolled out 2.08 in the stunning green S7 c/s but placed in store at Novosibirsk in early 2009 and broken up 3.11

On a rare visit to London and parked in the BA maintenance area. Built in 1981 and transferred to Aeroflot's Georgian directorate, the aircraft was noted in store at Tiblisi but was broken up in 2009 following use by Air Libya Tibesti till 2005

The intended use for the latter Ilyushin, which was ferried from Havana in July 2012 in basic Cubana colours, was unclear at the time (ex CU-T1280 c/n 3749648). It was later broken up for spares but in 2015 the nose was seen attached to a training building

Guyana's national airline made two weekly fligths into Miami, using two Tupolev 154s. One was leased from TAROM (YR-TPJ) and operated in TAROM colours, the other was this very nice Tu-154M in full Guyana livery. Today I was lucky, and I was able to capture this rare bird landing on Miami's southern runway. It was sold to Cubana in 1988 as CU-T1276, then became RA-85818 with Omskavia, EP-MAJ with Iran Air Tour, then back to RA-85818. Last noted in 2009, fate unknown.
