Former USAAF 42-8205. Sold as NC75640 in 1948 then to the Bolivian Air Force in 1949. Preserved at La Paz as FAB 007. Returned to the USA in 1973 and registered as N14519. To the Champlin Fighter Museum, Mesa, AZ in 1981 then to the Museum of Flight in 2000 and moved to Seattle in 2003. Registration cancelled in 2019.

On display at the Museum of Flight. This razorback P-47D was built at Farmingdale in 1942 and delivered to the USAAF with s/n 42-8205. It went to Fuerza Aérea Boliviana around Nov 1949. After serving as a gate guardian, it was recovered from La Paz for restoration. "Big Stud" is painted in the markings of six-victory ace Col. Robert L. Baseler, CO from Jul 1943 to Apr 1944 of 325th FG in the MTO. The unit wore the distinctive black and yellow checkertail on its P-40s, P-47s and P-51s. The Curtiss Electric propeller hub, modified cowl flaps and bulged fuselage keel can be seen.

This P-47 was rescued from gate guardian duties at La Paz airport, Bolivia and shipped back to California for a complete rebuild and restoration, which was completed in 1981. Now on display in the Personal Courage wing of the Museum of Flight as 42-8205 'Big Stud' of Col. Robert Baseler's 325th FG 'checker tails'.
