The type first flew in 1940 but development was stopped by the War. Production was resumed in the 1950s and this, the final development as a Klemm first flew in 1959. Later development lead to the four seat variant which became the Bolkow 207 in the 1960s. I had seen this one the previous month in the UK

Seen at the de Havilland Moth Club Rally. The Thruxton Jackaroo was a development of the Tiger Moth, the most visible evidence being the enclosed cockpit. However, the fuselage is longer and was widened to make the cabin into a four seater. It first flew as a conversion in 1957.

One of only 19 Jackaroos built, they are often considered to be Tiger Moths on which they were based. They were however substantially different. The cockpit was widened and enclosed and the fuselage lengthened to make a four seat touring aircraft and the first conversion flew in 1957

Taking off at Flying Legends 2014. Painted in unusual Norway AF / RAF No. 20 Transport Squadron markings, which were only briefly carried in Norway between June 1945 and Feb 1946. This Squadron, unrelated to the RAF's own No.20 Squadron, was in fact a continuation of the German Air Force 20 Transportfliegergeschwader. The squadron, formally controlled by the RAF, was the first step in re-establishing civil aviation in Norway after the war, using several DC-3s and Lockheed L-18 Lodestars. In 1946 the DC-3s were transferred to DNL, Norway's main pre-war airline and one of the predecessors of SAS.
