Built in 1990, this balloons Certificate of Airworthiness expired in 1995. It made a tethered inflation at the British Balloon Museum and Library Inflation Day in Cambridgeshire. A massive, impressive sight, fortunately now preserved
Seen at the British Balloon Museum and Library Inflation Day, the certificate of airworthiness expired in 2009. Like so many of these preserved balloons the advertising has been removed though I am sure most people can work out what it did originally advertise !
Built by the University of Sussex Ballooning Society this was built and first registered in 1968 and cancelled as withdrawn from use in 1984. It is in poor condition, disintegrating badly, and was mostly returned to its bag by people picking up pieces. Having not been seen for decades, it did however attract a lot of attention from the enthusiasts present. It is unlikely that it will ever be taken out again.
