This former US Army UH-1D 66-16335 was later converted to UH-1H standards. Sold to the US Forest Service in March 1995, it was first registered N4212C and after 2009 N541FA. One of two UH-1s (and two Bell 412s) with the Orange County Fire Authority based at Fullerton equipped for day or night fire fighting and rescue.

This Huey was built as a UH-1D and TOC by the US Army in February 1967 but from August to October it underwent conversion to a UH-1H. From April 1968 until February 1971 it was stationed in Vietnam, after which it was on loan to the University of Michigan, flew as an air ambulance in West Germany and went on loan to NASA, flew as part of the Panama Canal protection force but by 1986 had been transferred to the Illinois ANG before retirement. It is pictured here as part of the Yankee Museum's Vietnam exhibit but was later restored to airworthy status and in September 2019 registered to Northwest Helicopters as N876GM. It was one of two Huey's that YAM traded in for a UH-1 66-1126/N240GH in airworthy condition.

Seen during the Wunstorf air day at the far side, that we were not to visit according to the press officer. The far side proved to be directly adjecent to a public car park!

A civil Bell 204 that came to Canada new in 1966. Although pictured lacking titles, records show that former Canadian Helicopters C-FAHA was registered to Conair Aviation June 1993 - June 1994. The helicopter was last with Resource Helicopters before export to Chile in 2002 as CC-CLU.

Flown in to be a static display during the annual NZ Army Charter Parade. NZ3802 is now held by the National Army Museum at Waioru. The building dominating the background is BNZ House, which was badly damaged in the 2011 Christchurch earthquake. It was abandoned and the floors above the balcony level removed. It was about to make a test flight after some maintenance work and I was invited along in the left seat! We performed some interesting but, for me, stomach churning manoeuvres for about 30 minutes. It was quite an exhilarating experience but I'm not sure I'd want to do it again now!

Built as a UH-1F, served with 14 SOW in Vietnam, converted to UH-1P in 1969. Reconfigured to resemble a UH-1F for National Museum of the United States Air Force at Wright Patterson from 1980.
