This beautiful Delta Dagger once proudly served the Idaho Air National Guard. It is seen here in a quite terrible state. It arrived at AMARC on 15 December 1971, and was declared excess on 31 August 1972. It is unknown what happened after 1987 but this interceptor was most probably scrapped.

This old E-2B, that once operated from the USS Midway, forward deployed in Japan, was placed in storage at AMARC on 25 October 1985. It received invenroy code 2E0016. The Hawkeye was temporarely placed in the so-called 'celebrity row' at the storage depot. This row showed one of each aircraft type of the storage depot. 152497 was reported als sold to the Republic of China Air Force (RoCAF, Taiwan Air Force) but was never delivered. Possibly it was only cannibalized for RoCAF parts. It was moved to Consolidated/UAC in Tucson (AZ) on 26 March 1999 and then scrapped.

It was selected for the QF-4 program and taken from storage by 1 October 1987. It was flown over to NAD Cherry Point (NC) for conversion to QF-4N and was subsequently shot down in 1989.

Arrived from homebase NAS Miramar (CA) on 28 April 1986 at Davis Monthan for storage at AMARC. Apparently it took some time to drag it to its parking spot as this picture was made over year after its arrival at AMARC. After a long period in the desert, the Phantom was moved to HVF West, Tucson (AZ) for scrap on 30 December 2008.

P-3A 161359, former Patrol Squadron 94, stored at AMARC in September 1987. The Orion received inventory code 2P024, and was later sold to Aero Union as N924AU. It was written off on 17 October 1991 during a repositioning flight from Santa Barbara (CA) to Missoula (MT) in support of a forest fire suppression effort in Montana. During a landing attempt at Missoula, the airtanker had disappeared off Misoullas radar screen. The aircraft was found on 18 October, sadly the two crew perished in the accident.

With a light fog covering the airfield, it was questionable if this Luftwaffe KC-130J would arrive today, but it did. The tanker transporter was delivered to the Luftwfaffe on 1 March 2024 and assigned from that moment to the French-German Binational Air Transport C-130J Squadron (BATS) "Rhein/Rhin", based at Evreux.

A rare one, this Mi-2 was former CCCP-20741, became YL-LHD on 22 October 1992, and this registration was cancelled on 23 February 1993. It was sold to Latvia as 151 and assigned to the Lielvarde helicopter Eskadrila at Lielvarde of the Latvian Air Force. After several periods of storage between 1993 and 2013, the HOPLITE continued where it was made for, flying! After an overhaul in Ukraine it returned to airworthyness in March 2015. It was last seen operational at Lielvarde in mid-2019, then stored at Lielvarde in January 2020. It was possibly transferred to Ukraine in 2023/2024.

The Swifts (Russian: Стрижи, romanized: Strizhi) is an aerobatic demonstration team of the Russian Air Force which was formed on 6 May 1991. The team performed at the Oulu International airshow with four MiG-29 (coded 43, 44, 46, 48) and two MiG-29UBs (coded 33, 34). Unfortunately, the c/n's of the MiGs remain unknown to me (anyone??). Here one of the single seat FULCRUMs is seen moving to the runway at the start of a late demonstration flight.
