This Workhorse was delivered to the USAF on 13th June, 1955 and served until retirement in 1970, whereupon it was transferred to the National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program and placed at Offutt AFB in the original SAC Museum. When the new building was opened at Ashland (and the museum renamed to SAC & Aerospace Museum) it moved across and is now on display hanging from the roof.

Pictured in the storage yard adjacent to the Pima Air & Space Museum. I really enjoy photographing these old hulks but finding out all about their service history and how they came to be in such disrepair is interesting too. This particular helicopter served with the AF Flight Test Centre at Edwards AFB before being retired to AMARG during Oct. 69 where she was stored with the PCN/Inventory No. HC025. Eventually it was cut up and the cockpit was with Scroggins Aviation for movie mock-up work.

This H-21 had a long and productive working life serving with the USAF, US Army, French Navy, RCAF and the West German AF. This 'flying banana' arrived for daiplay at the National Museum of the USAF in 1965.

Ex USAF Workhorse under restoration for display at the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum.

This Workhorse had been loaned to France's ALAT with serial FR08. It returned to the USAF in 1969 and was stored at Davis Monthan. It is now displayed at Hill AFB, Utah.
