The US Department of State Air Wing (DOSAW) is operating former US Army Hueys in a secretive role (among others, they flew anti-drug missions over Afghanistan).

The serial of the Mi-24, from the first series built, was extremely hard to read, it was 344 or 334. Incredible that this ugly machine ever served as a gunship!

US Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) and its Brazilian partner Embraer Defense & Security are participating with the EMB-314 Super Tucano in the US Air Force's OA-X light attack aircraft competition (also dubbed the AT-X programme). Competitor, Textron with the AT-6B Wolverine (a modified attack version of the T-6 Texan II), hopes to win the competion too.

Textron Aviation Defense and its partner Textron/Hawker Beechcraft are participating with the AT-6B Wolverine in the US Air Force's OA-X light attack aircraft competition (also dubbed the AT-X programme). Competitor, SNC and partner Embraer with the EMB-314 Super Tucano hopes to win the competion too.

The M-346A Master training jet is modified to Fighter Attack (FA) variant, and this MT55232 is a test aircraft, redesignated to M-346FA, and in use by manufacturer Leonardo, as well as the Italian Air Force for operational tests. The aircraft carries for promotional purposes hardpoints underneath the wings with air-to-air missiles attached, as well as the badge of the International Flying Training School, based at Lecce air base (Italy). The aircraft belongs to 212° Gruppo.
