Rapid Air Lines Corp. moved from Rapid City (SD) to Omaha (NB) in early 1930 and at the same time changed its name to Rapid Air Transport Inc. This Bellance is seen here carrying both names. The logo also carries the airline's slogan "Safe and Sane Flying". The photo date is quoted as 29 Oct 1929, but this pre-dates the name change so may not be correct. Photo by: Nathaniel L. The TC seems to be a Goodyear design although this dirigible was built by Airships Inc using plans supplied by Goodyear. Goodyear built six (TC-1 to 3, 7 to 9), Airships three (TC-4 to 6). TC-10 was a model number with at least eight built. Subsequent TC models were the TC-11, 12, 13 and 14. Photo from: History Nebraska
