Registered to East Anglian Flying Services 26th May 1954 for operation by its subsidiary, East Anglian Flying Club at Ipswich. It was withdrawn from use April 1971 and was stored dismantled at Ipswich with its C.of A. having expired 2nd Mar.1972 and was cancelled from the register 25rh Apr.1972 as PWFU. It was destroyed in a fire at Ipswich 4th Oct.1973. It was one of two Austers originally operated by the East Anglian Flying Club, the other being Auster 5 G-ANHZ. The club was later to acquire two Auster J-1 Autocrats, G-AIZY & G-AJUE, from the closure of the Southend Municipal Flying Centre.

First registered in January 1958 and registered to an owner at nearby Ponteland on 14 June 1960. Cancelled as PWFU in October 2015.

A long-term Plymouth resident, formerly operated by the flying club. It was damaged in a crash at Enstone on 2-1-76, after which it was rebuilt and sold to Australia in 1978. In 2014 it was undergoing restoration in Perth, Australia as VH-UXB.

Operated by Exeter Aero Club jointly with Plymouth Aero Club, but based at Exeter. This is one of my favourite pictures from way back then, showing as it does Plymouth's old control tower and in the distance, Shaugh Prior and Dartmoor. This Auster is still about, based in Lincolnshire.

Operated for 10 years by Exeter Aero Club and Plymouth Aero Club jointly, but spent most (if not all) of its time during this period at Plymouth. It crashed at Enstone on 2 January 1976, and was rebuilt and sold to Australia in 1978. In 2014 it was undergoing restoration in Perth, Australia, as VH-UXB. It is seen here between the two hangars that lay just to the southwest of the public road, which continued northeast to cross one of the runways.

This is in fact former F-BFLR. The military serial is fake, as NJ169 is in a black out block between a series of Spitfires and Sunderlands.
