Registered to East Anglian Flying Services 26th May 1954 for operation by its subsidiary, East Anglian Flying Club at Ipswich. It was withdrawn from use April 1971 and was stored dismantled at Ipswich with its C.of A. having expired 2nd Mar.1972 and was cancelled from the register 25rh Apr.1972 as PWFU. It was destroyed in a fire at Ipswich 4th Oct.1973. It was one of two Austers originally operated by the East Anglian Flying Club, the other being Auster 5 G-ANHZ. The club was later to acquire two Auster J-1 Autocrats, G-AIZY & G-AJUE, from the closure of the Southend Municipal Flying Centre.
