Inbound for a touch 'n go with another. This aircraft has 2 Serbian Mig-29s kills to its credit from Operation Allied Force in 1999. Now resides in the USAF Museum in Ohio.

Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB in 1994. Scrapped in 2018.

Ordered by the USAF as 53-7636. Transferred to the French Air Force as 37636. Returned to the USAF as 53-7636 and preserved at Meridian, MS from 1974. Moved to Hattiesburg, MS in 1985.

Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB in 1991. Left in 2011 and converted to a QRF-4C target drone. Destroyed in 2015.

Ex-USN F-4N 151424, originally ordered as an F4H-1, but redesignated F-4B-16-MC prior to delivery. The original dataplate is still present, which reveals she was built under contract number NOW63-0062, and accepted by the USN 19 November 1963. However, it also gives the c/n as 6341 for unknown reasons. Marked as F-4D 63-7660, of the 906th TFG at Wright-Patterson AFB during the 1980s.

Front seater's instrument panel. This is actually the cockpit section of F-4N 151424, which was used during the filming of the ABC TV Series "Call to Glory" for cockpit scenes. It is displayed as F-4D 66-7660, assigned to the 906th TFG at Wright-Patterson AFB in the 1980s. This wasn't my first time sitting in this airplane, but the last time it happened I was quite a bit shorter.

The 23rd Tactical Air Support Squadron has a long history dating back to 15 Jan'41 when it was established as the 76th Bombardment Squadron (Medium). It became the 23d Antisubmarine Squadron (Heavy) on 3 Mar'43 with B-25s, re-designated as 23d Troop Carrier Squadron on 21 Nov'44 and inactivated on 7 Sep'46. Activated as the 23d Helicopter Squadron on 9 Jul'56 with H-21s and inactivated on 8 Jan'58. On 15 Apr'66 is was activated again as the 23d TASS with O-1s and O-2s as Forward Air Controllers over Vietnam. Again activated and reactivated, eventually equipped with A-10s. Currently as 23rd FTS.

Stored at AMARC with inventory code AC0140 on 16 October 1992 and left the depot in January 2016 and was scrapped by HVF West at Tucson.

Pictured on the ramp of homebase Davis Monthan. The Warthog is missing some parts of the tail, just these which are usually colored for recognition of the squadron. But the fuselage shows the 357th TFTS badge, part of the 355th Tactical Training Wing which is shown with additional marks on the tail. Serial 224 was stored at AMAC on 19 April 1992 with inventory code AC0056. It left the depot on 23 June 1994 and was afterwards scrapped.

After service, this 270 became an instructional airframe at McChord AFB (WA) from December 1992. From June 1995, it started a career as a preserved aircraft at the gate of McChord.

This fine A-10A, based at England AFB (LA), was a very welcome visitor to the RIAT 1989. The aircraft was delivered to the USAF in 1984 and direct assigned to the 81st TFW at Bentwaters/Woodbridge (UK). It returned to CONUS in 1989 and was assigned to thes 76th TFS, part of the AFRes and based at England. Great to see the aircraft back on UK soil during the RIAT with another tailcode. Following the 76th, it served the 75th FS at Moody AFB (GA) with tailcode FT from late 1992. It was moved for storage to AMARG on 31 January 2024.

This squadron bird, based at England AFB (LA), was a very welcome visitor to RIAT 1989. The aircraft was moved to AMARC with inventory code AC0039 on 24 March 1992. England AFB was closed in 1992.
