This aircraft is ex-RAF WB743. After 'demobbing' it came to Australia and was originally registered VH-BSR(1) with the Tasmanian Aero Club in January 1957. Sold to Bill Waterton Snr in the '60s and has remained in the family ever since. Struck from the Register on 15 July 1980 for long-term restoration. Re-registered as VH-OSR on 29 October 1996. To complicate matters, VH-BSR had in the meantime been allocated to another Chipmunk!

This is an orignal Cessna 150, first registered in Australia on 15 January 1960 - and it would probably have been brand new. Since then it has acquired a 'Texas Taildragger' conversion and note also the cutaway lower doors. Seen here catching the sunrise at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.
