Built 1953 as a CV-240 as N73128 for United Airlines. 1960 N5120 rr and converted to CV-340-31by general Motors Corporation. Later converted to CV-580, and became HR-SAX, N9012J, N770PR and C-GKFT. May 15th 1986 LN-PAA for PartnAir, as the 3rd CV-580 in the fleet. Written off in a terrible accident September 8th 1989 in Skagerak, the aircraft had been leased by a Norwegian shipping company: Wilhelmsen for a trip to Hamburg, and all people aboard were killed in the accident. Birmingham Executive Airways started scheduled service to Oslo FBU from Brimingham in 1988, and thsi was my first shot of the ariline, as it is taxing out for a rwy 24 departure back home.

Built 1971, ex N7631Q and D-IEAW when registered LN-AFA in July 1981 for Ascor Flyservice A/S at Fornebu. Operated until Ascor went bankrupt in May 1991. Arriving with prime minister Benjamin Nethanyahu for negotiations with the Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat who had arrived previously. These negotiations were part of the so called Oslo Peace Process.

LN-FOI was the last of the three Electras to be repainted late 1986, but I did not see it before this day in february 1988, arrived in the morning and parked at the Cargo terminalall day until teh evening when it took off again. LN-FOI kept these colours until wfu at Fornebu in 1997, as Fred Olsen shut down the airlines started in 1946, becuse he would not invest in new buildings at ENGM/OSL which was to open October 8th 1998, and the fleet of L-188 Electra was nearing their livit of flhying, while the 727F and the 737f took over.

One of the delicious ideas of SAS Cargo, to paint one of FOFs Electars in black and call it "Air de Cologne" just to mark Cologne as a new hub for Cargo operaions.
