Delivered to SAS as MD-81 LN-RMA in 1987. Converted to an MD-82 in 1997 then to an MD-83 for Allegiant Air as N868GA in 2004. Withdrawn from use at Stuttgart, AR in 2016. Still there in 2022. Scrapped by 2024.

First flight June 16th 1987 at Long Beach. Delivered new to SAS July 7th 1987 as the 8th MD-81, and my first photo of a new MD-80 with the new "MD-87-like" end of tail. Named "Hasting Viking". Converted to MD-82 in March 1997. In 2003 repainted to the new SAS colours, December 12th 2004 N868GA Allegiant Air, converted to MD-83, as ship no 868. July 31st 2016 wfu and later stored at Stuttgart Municipal Airport (KSGT / SGT). Later broken up there

This aircraft was delivered to SAS in 1987 as an MD-81. Ten years later, in Mar 1997, it was converted to MD-82 and soldiered on with SAS as such. It is seen here in its last months for the airline, having been sold to Allegiant Air as N868GA in Dec 2004.
