This 1967 Islander was delivered to the USA as N71JA, eventually flying for Key Airlines / Sun Valley Key Airlines in 1969 - 74 as N17UP /N217UP. Later registered XB-GUG and N14451. Wilderness Airline bought the aircraft in June 1976. On December 4, 1987, C-GOMC disappeared during a flight from Bella Coola to Campbell River, BC. With a pilot and three passengers aboard, the wreckage has never been found, but was presumed to be in the Mount Waddington area.

Air BC leased this Dash 7 from De Havilland Canada from May 1985 to March 1988. Pictured in previous owner Henson Airlines' Piedmont Commuter colors with an Air BC Tail, the aircraft would get full Air BC colors on the fuselage before return to DHC. Later operated by Paradise Island Airlines 1989 - 93 as N780MG, it was sold to AirKenya Express (5Y-BMP) in 1997. The fifty CH-135s (originally designated CUH-1Ns) interestingly had US serial numbers for paperwork that were never actually applied. This one is 70-15655 but delivered as 135106 April 19, 1971. Struck off strength in 1999 and stored at Mountainview, Ont, it was transferred to Colombian Army (EJC-227) in January 2001. With new serial EJC-4227 after 2013, the helicopter crashed at Quibdo, Colombia on March 19, 2023 after loss of control at low level. While video of the incident points to loss of the tail rotor, official cause has not been determined at the time of uploading.

Stored at Mojave, CA circa 2009, the aircraft was later scrapped.
