In a Soviet Air Force c/s, in maintenance at Reno-Steadfield. This is former Polish Air Force serial 1416. The aircraft was sold to the USA and became N416JM in March 1987 with the War Eagles Air Museum, Santa Teresa Airport/Dona Ana County Airport, El Paso (NM). In March 2014 sold to an unknown private owner in El Paso (TX). On 27 October 2016 the USA civil registration was cancelled and the Lim was exported to Russia in 2017. Since, the database lost track on it.

Delivered to the RAF as WD413 in 1950. Used as ground trainer 7881M at 23MU Aldergrove from 1965. Registered as G-BFIR in 1977 then G-VROE in 1998. Current on the register in 2024.

Substantial remains of G-ANFP were sold in 1999 and a long restoration took part. Only in 2016 the aircraft was airworthy again, sporting its original RAF colours. In January 2017 the aircraft was transferred to the RAF Station Czechoslovakia collection at Podhorany airfield.

After a long storage G-AMIV was bought at a car auction in 2005 and after a restoration was first flown in 2010. In 2012 she was bought for the German Hangar10 collection as D-EDHA, but reverted to G-AMIV upon transfer to the RAF Station Czechoslovakia collection at Podhorany in 2015.

Serial 271 is a Aero Vodochody built CS-102/MiG-15UTI of Polish AF. Delivered '54, converted SBLim-2, reserialled 2271. To Evergreen Ventures as N271JM in '88. 11 Apr'88 rr to NX271JM as MiG-15UTI, but kept N271JM. Planned for use with the Defense Test & Evaluation Agency, Kirtland AFB (NM). Was used in the 1988 movie "Steal the Sky" in this Iraqi AF c/s. On 6 Nov'96 crashlanded at Fallon MAP (NV) in a soft dirt field, 200 ft short of threshold. Restored and preserved at Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum (OR). Restored for flight but canx in '11. Aug'13 to Defense Antiquities Museum, Ft.Meyers

This Lim-2 was used in this Iraqi Air Force colourscheme in the 1988 movie Steel the Sky. Unfortunately, it was fully unmarked. It possibly belonged to a shipment of fourteen former Polish Air Force Lim-2's that went thru the UK in 1986 to the USA, being serials 271, 638, 640, 817, 822, 1013, 1016, 1120, 1205, 1416, 1606, 1614, 1621, 1629. Anyone able to confirm its identity?

In Jun'87 Classics, American Avn, Reno acquired it and they repainted it in Soviet AF c/s. Used in 1988 movie Steel the Sky in Iraq AF c/s. Mar'88: rr to NX822JM MiG-15UTI, kept N822JM with the Defense Test & Evaluation Agency, Kirtland AFB (NM) up to '89. Stored AMARC by '92, to USAF museum Dayton (OH), loaned to Pima (AZ), repainted North Korean AF c/s. Oct'97: to private owner but remained at Pima.

Built for the USAF as 52-7636 in 1952. Registered as N7716B in 1957. Later N34B. Current on the register in 2024.
