This Il-38 was the first production Il-38 and first flew in October 1967, conducted trials of the "Berkut" ASW complex at Kirovskoye in 1968. To the Ukrainian navy for ground instructional use by the technical school at Luhansk since 1997 and moved to the museu.

Some aircraft remained there, and subsequently were written from use and preserved for display in the museum. Su-24 Fencer-A 621 red is a former weapons test aircraft designated as T6-21. It is displayed with a Ukrainian crest, although its short service life may have come to an end before 1992 when the Soviet Union was dissolved.
