Nose section on display at Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum. It is painted in the three tone SEA camouflage pattern with a gloss black underside. The two piece radome of the B-52D is visible, as are the small windows above the cockpit and square window to the rear. Flying out of Andersen AFB on a 5,400 mile round trip or from Kadena and U-Tapao AB, B-52s with the Big Belly modification logged a large number of sorties during Op Arc Light and Linebacker. This aircraft flew from all three bases during the Vietnam War. It wears the SAC and 4133rd Bomb Wing (P) "Black Barons" emblem.

Making a late afternoon approach to land on Runway 23 at RAF Lossiemouth. Carries the "Green Bat" markings of the RAF's IX (Bomber) Squadron. First flew in 1984. Withdrawn in 2016 and reduced to parts at RAF Leeming. Subsequently scrapped.

Chanute AFB was still active when slide was taken. Ground instructional airframe. Aircraft was scrapped in early 1990s but cockpit section was preserved and now is on display at the Valiant Air Command Museum in Florida.

Working the pattern at Nyutabaru on a Friday afternoon under nice lighting conditions

A nice glimpse into the life of a B-52 pilot. The museum has restored a B-52 cockpit section that one can access under supervision of a guide. Quite a tight space in the aircraft but very interesting to see the flight deck.
