During my visit to LTBA the previous year, this early afternoon flight back to Moscow - Sheremetyevo (UUEE) had been operated by a Il-96. Unfortunatly, the type had since been withdrawn from use and replaced by A320s. VP-BLL was delivered to Aeroflot in April 2013 and has since been reregistered RA-73748.

Believed to have been performing maintenance test flights in the area.

This was delivered to Singapore Airlines in August 2001 and is pictured departing home off rw35R. Apart from a two-year lease to Royal Brunei as V8-BLE, the frame flew its whole commercial life with Singapore Airlines. It was wfu in March 2020 and stored at Alice Springs (ASP) but ferried to Kansas City (MCI) in December 2021 as N829KW, where it is currently stored.

This B773 was originally delivered to Jet Airways in May 2007 as VT-JEP but was leased out three times during its life with the airline. The first was to Thai as HS-TKH and the third was to Etihad as A6-JAD. The second lease was to Turkish from June 2013 until October 2014 and the plane is pictured lined up on rw35R for a dusk departure. After returning from the lease with Etihad in October 2016 it was registered VT-JEV but wfu in April 2019 and is presently stored at Mumbai (BOM). .

VH-FNT during its ferry flight to Norwich in the UK where it was supposed to be prepared for delivery to Pakistan International. That deal fell though and it was leased in Spain as EC-EHG. This Blaine/MN (KANE) based, 1967 built, Beech arrived here five days ago and left later today.

WSK-Mielec Fresco-C Jabo on display at the Luftwaffenmuseum. This aircraft served the LSK/LV from 1957 with JG 1 "Fritz Schmenkel" at Cottbus, with JG 8 at Marxwalde in 1963 and JBG 37 "Klement Gottwald" at Drewitz from 1972. Around 180 MiG-17Fs served the LSK till 1985. An SRD-1M radar rangefinder slaved to the target tracking radar and ASP-4N automatic optical gunsight is visible on the nose, as is a strut supported 57 mm MARS-2 rocket pod for S-5 rockets. The radio antenna mast by the starboard rear canopy frame and ESKR-46 flare dispenser on the front starboard fin are no longer fitted.

This 1979 built Citation 501 arrived from Boeing Field (KBFI) yesterday for a stay.

The USAAF and the RAAF abandoned about 30 damaged and war-weary aircraft at Tadji at the end of World War II. They included Beauforts, P-39s, P-40s, an A-20 and this B-25 The best of them were recovered in 1974, with most going the US - three have since flown again - and a couple to Australia. 41-12442 was one of two retained in PNG and at the time of upload was displayed outside the nearby Aitape Secondary College.
