The second prototype YF-18 has been parked for many years at the Fire & Rescue facility on the north side of Naval Auxiliary Landing Field Fentress (KNFE) which is 11 mi/17 km SE of NAS Oceana in a rural area of Virginia. The single 8000 ft runway is used by Navy aircraft from NAS Oceana and NAS Norfolk for training. Photos from about 10 years ago still show the YF-18 wearing US Navy markings. It was previously at NAS Norfolk for fire fighting and crane practice with local aircraft carriers. It is difficult to view aircraft using from the runway which is surrounded by trees inside the base.

This Cessna 208 Super Cargomaster is operated for FedEx by Mountain Air Cargo. When photographed on May 23, 2025 it had been flying a daily roundtrip flight between Manteo - Dare County Regional (MEO / MQI), North Carolina and Norfolk International Airport (KORF), Virginia for at least three months according to FlightRadar 24.

This Grumman F-14A Tomcat, 160401, is preserved at NAS Oceana and incorrectly painted with the serial number 180402. The aircraft has carried at least three colour schemes since placed on display and when seen on May 23, 2025 was painted in the markings of VFA-213. It's displayed on the east side of the base near a Northrup Grumman facility beside Oceana Blvd.
