On 8 December 2003 this actress left home for a lead role in the remade movie "Flight of the Phoenix". The trip would take her around the Atlantic Ocean, routing to Africa via the Canary Islands and returning in June 2004 via Brazil. She came back with fantasy registration H0180-H and 'XXExpress' titles and logo and was still wearing these in 2005. This is one of the last-built Consolidated Cansos, previously known as N314CF. After its military career the aircraft became an aerial firefighter and served in Canada and Spain. Restoration was well under way here with 'blisters' mounted while a multitude of ropes kept the Cat secured. Hawkins and Powers acquired the P-2 from there in July 1987 and it was registered with D&G as N173AM at the photo date, a registration linking to its BuNo 143173. The remains of '206' on the nose may be from the end of the sixties and ten years before that 143173 happened to be coded '7' with VP-21, a number now sprayed on the nose wheel door.
