Travel City had a four week flight program at Glasgow flying to Orlando operating a daily flight from Fridays to Mondays. All of these flights to Orlando on departure were very long on the Runway so gave great views from the opposite end. This one was taken from a big earth mound when leaving from Runway 23. Seen here taxiing out from its base at Schiphol East. It is ex D-CDOQ and D-CDIV, and served with the Dutch Coastguard from 1992 until 2007. A year later it was sold back to RUAG Aerospace as D-CNEU for conversion to Dornier 228NG.
This 5-year old 767 was a rare visitor at Schiphol. The aircraft, seen here in the airline's very nice older colours before it got the uninteresting modern and mainly white scheme with large titles, was withdrawn from use in early 2015, and it ended up with Azur Air as VQ-BUP three months later.
Seen parked on Schiphol's East apron. The airline would cease operations a few months later. Ex Condor D-ABNB, this 757 later carried registrations N246BA, I-AIGB, EI-IGB and N473AC before ending up as a freighter with FedEx in April 2011 as N997FD.
This bizjet had a long and varied career. It carried N518GA, HZ-MIC, N555GN,N1GN, N555GN, N555GV and N5GV before becoming N885G in 2001. It kept that reg until Feb 2008, when it became N17ND with Jetaway Air Services.
This Triple-7, seen here landing on rwy 27, was delivered in 1997 and flew in these colours until painted in SkyTeam livery in 2009. It was withdrawn from use in late 2017 and stored at Phoenix-Goodyear, AZ.
Originally delivered in 1997, but a brand new aircraft for Varig, acquired from Swissair (ex HB-IWO) only one month before this photo was taken. Its career with Varig was short, because the airline ceased operations only two years later. This MD-11 went to UPS in 2007 as N288UP, and was converted to a freighter.
Delivered to JAL in 1971 as JA8107. Converted to freighter for them in 1977, and sold to Kalitta 15 years later, in 1992. Withdrawn from use by 2010. In 2017 the registration N702CK was re-used on a Kalitta 747-400F.
JA8188 on one of its many visits to Schiphol. This freighter was delivered to NCA in 1988, and was sold to Southern Air 20 years later, as N783SA. In 2014 it became SX-ASO, then EW-460TQ and, very recently, N691SR.
OY-MRH, seen here taking off from runway 24, was delivered to Maersk in 2000, and sold to Sterling in 2005. Following brief spells with AeroSvit (UR-AAQ) and Germania (D-AGEY) in 2012 and 2013, this aircraft ended up with Southwest Airlines in 2014 as N7817J.
