J-270, FMS serial 78-0270 and is a Fokker built (line number L-074) F-16B Block 10C. It was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 11 Feb'82. Modified to Block 20 Mid-Life Update in the early 2000s. After a long career in the KLu and serving most Dutch F-16 squadrons, the dual was stored at Twenthe for refurbishment. It was then stored at Volkel in anticipation of being transferred to Jordan. It received serial 132 in the Royal Jordanian Air Force and was sold under Peace Falcon IV with construction number M14-12. It was delivered to 1sq on 27 Jul'09.

A fine view from the ATC tower. J-248 carries FMS serial 78-0248 and is a Fokker built (line number L-074) F-16A Block 10A. It was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 7 Oct'81. The F-16 suffered a serious mishap after it landed on its nose due to severe winds, although the pilot managed to keep the bouncing Falcon on the runway, he decided to eject. The F-16 was repaired and continued service up to Aug'01. It was first stored at Woensdrecht, then preserved at Kamp Zeist from Jun'13. It then became a travel exhibit and is seen all over the Netherlands.

The Dutch 323sq is named "Diana", so the Tiger pilot choose the wrong visor cover. J-256 carries FMS serial 78-0256 and is a Fokker built (line number L-091) F-16A Block 10C. It was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 16 Apr'82. It was withdrawn from use at Volkel in Feb'01 after it experienced a nosewheel collaps during taxiing out of a dispersal in Dec'00. It was then stored at Volkel, to Soesterberg in Nov'01, moved to the Technical University in Delft on 22 Apr'08 and returned to Volkel as an instructional airframe in Nov'11. Scrapped soon after.

At the flightline of Leeuwarden, this CF-188 was one of eight participating in a summercamp training. The Hornet belongs to 1 Canadian Air Group, based at Sollingen. 188762 was only delivered to the RCAF on 15 May 1986, so at the time of this visit near brand-new! The summercamp involved live firings over the Dutch Vliehors shooting range in which they used also their onboard M61 canon.

Assigned to the 1 Canadian Air Division at Baden-Sollingen, this Hornet visited Leeuwarden with seven others. 188747 is seen here passing the ATC tower of Leeuwarden. The aircraft crashed years later when assigned to 4 Wing Cold Lake (AB). It crashed inside the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range in Saskatchewan during a weapons delivery mission, not far from the Primrose Lake Evaluation Range, on 28 November 2016.

Delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force on 22 October 1953 as 21094. The T-Bird was reserialled on 11 November 1970 into 133094. The aircraft served the 1 Canadian Air Division from Baden-Sollingen (Germany) up to April 1991. As such, it is seen here passing the ATC tower of Leeuwarden during a CF-188 deployment. The T-33 was transferred from 1 CAD to 434sq at CFB Trenton (ON). Since April 2008, the CT-133AN is preserved at the main gate of CFB Cold Lake (AB).

C.14-67 is seen here passing the ATC tower at Leeuwarden during a squadron exchange with F-16s of 323sq. The F1EE was once reported as c/n 16, but that appeared to be incorrect. The Mirage was eventually sold to the US commercial adversary company Draken International (FL) in September 2018. It was reregistered to N572EM.

First flown on 8 February 1982 and soon after delivered to the Ejercito del Aire (EdA, Spanish Air Force) and assigned to Esc 462 at Gran Canaria. It is here seen during a squadron exchange with 323sq at Leeuwarden. The aircraft was eventually sold to the US commercial adversary company Draken International (FL) in July 2018. It was reregistered to N567EM. It crashed as such just after take-off from Nellis AFB (NV) on 24 May 2021.
