BA very occasionally sent Concorde's into Luton. This visit seems to be in conjunction with Vauxhall who had a big car plant in the town. Note the Vauxhall Cavalier's parked in front of it. This photo dates back to the period where BA dropped the Airways from the titles on the fuselage. Delivered new to British Airways on 01 Jul 1980. WFU on 24 Oct 2003. This aircraft was the first of the group of three to land one after the other back at Heathrow on the final day of operations. It was ferried to Barbados on 17 Nov 2003 for preservation.

Gove Airport, on the Gove Peninsula, was a major World War II air base closed in 1946. The discovery of bauxite adjacent to the airport saw it extended and upgraded to serve the mine.

With Qantas evaluating widebody twins, D-AICH was brought Australia by Airbus to demonstrate to the airline. Qantas ordered six Boeing 767-200s in September 1983. D-AICH was sold the FedEx in 1994 as N407FE.

VH-FKD in the bright "canary" livery of Air New South Wales. It would wear it for just over a year before Ansett once again returned to a standard livery for all airlines in the group.

VH-EWW was with East-West from October 1983 to August 1989. It was then leased to Charter Cruise Air before being sold in the UK as G-JEAF.
