Here filling a water tank between flights, this DC-9 was delivered to Trans Texas Airways January 1968. In October the airline was renamed Texas International Airlines and this color scheme with the lone star on the tail was introduced. Merging with Continental in 1982, the aircraft flew on until sold in 1984. Flying in the USA as a freighter until 2002, the DC-9 went to Lineas Aereas Suramericanas as HK-4246X. It, unfortunately, crashed during an approach neat Mitu, Colombia December 18, 2003.

VH-EEG was delivered to Northern Airlines, a subsidiary of East West Airlines, in August 1980. The airline ceased operations in February 1981. VH-EEG was sold in the US as N26583 in January 1982.

VH-EDN was damaged near Shepparton, Victoria, on August 19, 2008 and removed from the register.

VH-DUP was sold in the US as N977PM in June 2017.

VH-CZN flew with Ansett from July 1981 until September 1986. It was ferried to the US in 1987 and became N179AW.

Airline became Avdev Airlines in 1982. AvDev acquired VH-KAM when it took over Davey Air Services.

Broke up in flight near Adavale, Queensland, August 28, 1983. Cause never established.

Looking extremely shiny, this 707 was obtained from Qantas in 3.79 and was the last to be retired by the RAAF in a celebration on 30.6.08. A week later it was towed to the 33 Sqdn hangar at Richmond and parked with the other withdrawn 707s. See my also 1972 shot as VH-EAD
