In 1969, Great Lakes Airlines began upgrading their fleet with two Convair 440s bought from Swissair. Four more 440s were brought on-line before the airline switched to Convair 580s around 1976. This is former HB-IMK "Neuchatal", that was originally flown in the basic Swissair colors, until the next aircraft from Linjeflyg introduced a new color scheme based on that airline's cheat lines. To Key Air Lines in 1976as N30KA, the aircraft eventually sat out it's days in Florida after the mid 90s. The registration was cancelled in 2012.

Ex-N7688P. Later LN-LFI

One of eight Queen Airs bought by the Department of Transport in 1969. This one went to Bemidji Aviation Services just across the border in Minnesota as N106BA in 1984 and is still current in 2020.

First registered in 1955, this Goose stayed in Canada until June 1984 when it was exported as N7F (Photo ID: 188357). Interestingly, the US owner had the retractable tip float system converted back to factory original fixed configuration. Still current as N159F in 2020.

On one of the frequent visists of the type from Valkenburg to Soesterberg for crew training.

Built as a CL-44D4-2 in 1961 and operated by Flying Tiger till the unique conversion to Conroy CL-44-O "Oversize" spec in 1969. Damaged during flight testing, almost crashing due to improper handling by FAA pilots. Leased by TMAC 9.70 named "Skymonster" and later "Bahamas Trader"; first commercial service TO754 Stansted-Teheran. Re-registered EI-BND with Heavylift in 8.82
