This stunning and very rare CJC has recently undergone restoration in California.

On arrival from Seville on ferry to India; 14 aircraft (out of 16 built by Airbus) delivered so far, 11 of them through Luqa.

Built in 1949, ex N9358A

Built as C-45F 44-87190 in 1945. Converted to civilian use as C-45S N8037H in 1956 and fitted with Lycoming IO-540-A1A engines by Basler Developments in 1967. To the EAA Museum Foundation in January 1977 and to Northstar Aviation of Missoula MT, who had plans to restore the aircraft to flying condition, circa 1995. Transported by road and damaged en-route, the restoration was abandoned and the aircraft donated to the Museum of Mountain Flying at Missoula. Displayed in its original configuration as 'N9237Z'

Delivered to Cruzeiro Do Sul as PP-CJG in 1971. To ACES Colombia as HK-3745X in 1992. Reregistered as HK-3745 in 1993. Withdrawn from use at Bogota in 2001 and scrapped in 2005.

Delivered to PLUNA as CX-BOP in 1982. Leased to Transavia for the summer of 1985 as PH-TSB and returned as CX-BOP. Withdrawn from use at Montvideo in 2008. Fuselage departed on a truck in 2018.

Moved by road to the museum in May 2023 and restored after several years of open storage at nearby Missoula Airport.

Delivered to the US Navy as Bu37257 on 9 Aug 1945. Stored at Litchfield Park, AZ on 30 Jan 1954, then sold as N7255C in 1957 and stored unused at Douglas-Bisbee, AZ. In 1974 its rear fuselage was exchanged with the damaged rear fuselage of N6856C c/n 15-1156. In Dec 1975 the now damaged aircraft was donated to the Pima museum, but remained stored at Douglas-Bisbee until it was trucked to the museum on 30 Mar 1982. There it was stored yet again until restoration finally began in 2003. During that process the aircraft was mistakenly painted as 32757 instead of 37257. As can be seen, the Navy blue has faded considerably over the past 20 years. A repaint would be a good opportunity to also correct the serial.

Delivered to BWIA as 9Y-TCQ in 1965. To Braniff Airways as N307BN in 1971 then to Ladeco as CC-CFG in 1976. Withdrawn from use at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1992. Allocated reg N4367J but not applied. Moved to the Western International scrapyard nearby and broken up by 1995.

Ex NZ7005 of the New Zealand Air Force and still in the colours of 40 sqn.
