The 113 Filo, named Ceylan (Gazelle), was formed after the failed Turkish Coup on 15 July 2016. The squadron took over the role of 142 Filo and operates the F-16C/D that can be equipped with the huge DB-110 Recce pod. The F-16s still use the same markings as 142 Filo had painted on their tail.
In 2005, the Italian Air Force started the Aggiornamento Capacità Operative e Logistiche (ACOL), Operational and Logistical Capability Upgrade programme for 55 of its AMX aircraft. The ACOL included a new laser INS, new cockpit displays and allowing the aircraft to drop Joint Direct Attack Munition guided bombs. This AMX is apparently flown by an US Air Force exchange pilot, the US flag and the flag on the flight suit, reveals this detail. The 132 Gruppo is based at Istrana, Vittorio Bragadin air base (Italy) but was deployed with three aircraft to Konya in support of exercise Anatolian Eagle 2019.
An impressive F-16D Block 50+ with Conformal Fuel Tanks of 161 Filo "Yarasa" (Bat), originating from Bandirma air base. Most Turkish F-16 Filo's use two squadron markings, one on each side of the tail. 161 Filo has painted a bat on the right side of the tail, while on the left side a Hawk is painted.
This aircraft is developed by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC), reulting in the PAC Joint Fighter-17 Thunder and/or the CAC Fighter China-1 Xiaolong ('Fierce Dragon'). The fighter is a lightweight, single-engine, multi-role combat aircraft. The Pakistan Air Force took delivery of its first JF-17 in 2010, while China never started operating the type.
