The 1st Netherlands Air Task Force International Security Assistance Force (1(NLD)ATF ISAF used F-16AMs over Afghanistan during their operations against the Taliban. Retracting gear quickly, stay low, build-up speed, and at the end of the runway make an unexpected move so the enemy is giving a tough time in aiming weapons on this fully loaded Falcon Sometimes the pilot decides to go straight ahead, sometimes they make a low level left or right turn, but they rarely go ballistic as it was then too easy for a Taliban with a MANPADS or AAA to make a lock. This elusive Huron belonged to Operational Support Airlift Command (OSACOM) Det.31 and was seen during a short stop at Kabul International. Det.31 is normally assigned to the Arizona Army National Guard so the plane was a long way from home.

This Gomelavia Antonov paid visit to Kabul. It brought some VIPs to the capital. The 1971 built An-24 sustained damage during a landing at Mazar e Shariff on 16 September 2004 after returning on a flight from Kabul. After an engine failure it overran the runway by 200 metres before coming to rest. Luckily, the An-24 could be repaired and continued its life with Gomelavia. The airline ceased operations and the An-24 was stored by March 2011 at Gomel Pokalubichi (Belarus), without engines. It was still there in March 2019, in good condition.

During the time of the picture, this Il-76TD was most probably operated by Gran Propeller. but the flight was assigned to Reem Air. The 1983 built aircraft carried no titles at all

This 1985 built Il-76MD once served the Soviet AF as CCCP-76642. Since the early 90s, is started a civil career as RA-76408 and UR-76408 in basic Aeroflot c/s. It was sold to a lease company Atlant that assigned the aircraft to Pacific Express in 1993. Then it served the Ukrainian Air Force as UR-76408 until late 1996. It was first reported in June 2002 in service with Azerbaijan Airlines. The Candid was converted to Il-76TD by June 2003 and since then operating for Silk Way. Since April 2015 is it stored without engines at Baku.

This Chinook arrived at Kabul to pick up a VIP that was brought-in by a US Army C-12R+. The VIP was transported to a location where fixed-wings couldn't land.
