When LN-WIL was delivered to Widerøe's in 1995, it was named Florø after the city on the west coast of Norway where Widerøe's had an operating base. In 2000 the airline lost the PSO service to that city and closed the base. LN-WIL was renamed Narvik in a ceremony held in Narvik to commemorate 25 years of scheduled services to the STOLport. It was only appropriate that this particular aircraft operated the last flights in and out of Narvik-Framnes on 31 March 2017 with a crew who all were born in Narvik. Here seen at the final stop of WF855 in Bodø.

The STOLport at Narvik-Framnes closed on 31 March 2017 after a few months short of 45 years of serving the city. The building infrastructure had not been updated as the airport had been slated for closing for decades as can be clearly seen here.

Situated on an islet in the Oslo Fjord, Oslo's first airport maybe wasn't very practical, but it was surely idyllic! Brand new in the summer of 1936, this Ju 52 was captured by the German army in 1940 and put in Lufthansa service as D-AQUI. Returned to DNL as LN-KAF in 1946. Scrapped, but the wings were used to restore c/n 130714, which later became Lufthansa's vintage Tante Ju 'D-AQUI' - see photo 70519 for details. Photo from: Nasjonalbiblioteket (Norway)

This photo marks the end of Scandinavian's relationship with the Douglas Commercials which started in 1946. 67 years later, the last MD-90 was retired. The four MD-90s parked on a remote stand are seen from the wing of Nora Viking which had the honour of flying the last triangle service Stockholm-Copehagen-Oslo on 26 October 2013.

When a new passenger terminal for scheduled flights was built south of the original terminal, the latter was used for North Sea oil shuttle operations. In 2023 it is still in use for that prupose. Helikopter Service's S-61 is basking in the late evening setting sun.
