The Alouette II was used with the German Army for training and liasion flights in large numbers. This example spent time at Schwabach and Berghausen in retirement and had found its way to the Fliegerhorstmuseum Leipheim by September 2021.

A hangar well-packed with aircraft, led to this rather tight shot of Alpha Jet 4012 on display with the Fliegerhorstmuseum Leipheim. The aircraft arrived here on 30 August 2014.

Many former army Bo105Ms found their way on to the civilian market, however this example was kept for preservation purposes with the Fliegerhorstmuseum Leipheim, where it arrived on 23 August 2023.

Guarding the entrance to the hangar of the Fliegerhorstmuseum Leipheim, P149D 9174 came from Uetersen in 2023. It was registered D-ELKS on the civilian register after its military service life and is a welcome addition to the collection at Leipheim.

Since February 2010, this Dornier-built former German Air Force UH-1D with serial 7109 is on display with the Fliegerhorstmuseum Leipheim.

One of the exhibits of the interesting Fliegerhorstmuseum Leipheim is this replica of a German Air Force Messerschmitt Bf109. The museum has the goal of keeping the history of Leipheim Air Base from 1935 to 2009 in the public's memory.

The Elster B was the main production version, operated by the Luftwaffe and Marineflieger sport flying groups. These aircraft were initially operated with civilian registrations but were allocated military serials in 1971. In 1978 the aircraft were retired and found their way the civilian market.

Formerly preserved at the Jägerkaserne in Bischofswiesen in South Bayern, former German Army UH-1D 7383 has been fully restored in recent years. It is now painted as a US Army UH-1H of the Vietnam era, and has been put on display inside the hangar of the Fliegerhorstmuseum Leipheim.

In 1978 the maintenance contract with Pützer expired and the aircraft were sold on for civilian use.
