This SAR Huey is part of this very interesting museum housed in Building 361, which was a former ammunition assembly building, of the now closed Leipheim AB. The museum aims to keep alive the history of the base that operated from 1935 to 2009

The Czechoslovak AF operated a total of six An-24V and when the country split into the Czech and Slovak Republics, four (2904, 5803, 7109 and 7110) went to the newly formed Air Force of the former and two (2903, 5605) to the latter. Two of the Czech frames were immediately put into storage and so the Czech AF only operated two planes (5803, 7109). The type was withdrawn from service on 26 October 2005

This An-24 was delivered to the Czechoslovak AF in September 1971 and served until retirement in 2006. It is now on display at the Letecké Muzeum at Kbely.
