Operated by Ransome Air/Allegheny Commuter, Suburban Airlines and Perkiomen Airways, damaged in wheels-up landing at Reading, PA in January 1979. To N231SK with Kalitta Flying Service at Willow Run in August 1980. Sold to Kitty Hawk Charters, TN in 1999, Jim Hankins Air Service, MS in 2001 and GB AirLink, FL as N310GB in 2014. Operating cargo services in Caribbean in 2022

Delivered to US Navy as SNB-2C BuNo 23835 in 1944 and modified later to SNB-3 and SNB-5. Rebuilt commenced in 1971 at Tucson as Hamilton Turboliner c/n W0311, but finished as the only Westwind IISTD - the longest ever Beech 18 mod with 9' 10" fuselage stretch for 17 pax and Garrett TPE 331-6-251M turbines. Completed in 1974 and to Kalitta as N231LJ next year. Derelict at Willow Run by 2001 and sold at auction for $2500, towed by road to Janesville, WI. Last noted there stripped in 2017

Converted to Hamilton Westwind IISTD at Tucson 1974, the only conversion with extended nose, fuselage plug and large ventral fin. Kalitta N231LJ 1975, derelict Willow Run by 2000. Moved to Janesville, WI for restoration 2002, still there 2017.

This aircraft is a conversion of a Beech 18, and is the longest Beech 18 variant ever built or converted. Only one Westwind II STD has ever been converted and the type was certified in 1975. It was delivered to Connie Kalitta, and the gracious aircraft flew with them until it suffered wing fire damage in 1993. It is now derelict at Detroit-Willow Run. Ex US Navy 23835.
