French Fieseler FI 156 built just after WW2. This one was used by French Air force in overseas territories. Repainted in German air force red cross unit during the war. Part of Paris Musée de l'air, it is currently no more displayed in public area and is stored.
The Criquet is a development of the Fieseler Fi-156 Storch which was built under licence by Morane Saulnier during WWII. It is fitted with a Salmson 230hp radial engine and has a metal wing whilst the Storch has a wooden wing and a inline Argus engine
This Criquet (Locust) saw service with l'Armee de l' Air in French Indo-China before transferring to the civilian register, including with a Belgian owner who restored the aircraft into its current colours. It's last flight was into East Fortune in 1982 where it is now on display at the National Museum of Flight..
