VH-UKN had a chequered career with many prangs during its service with the Australian Aero Club (Victoria) and its successors, the Victorian Aero Club and the Royal Victorian Aero Club. Became VH-UGJ in 1929. The Australian Aero Club (NSW) became the Aero Club of NSW and then the Royal Aero Club of NSW. VH-UGJ remained with the club until it was written off in a landing accident on October 8, 1940 by which time it had been fitted with a Gipsy engine in place of the Cirrus. Destroyed in a mid-air collision with Moth VH-UAN on June 19, 1937. The Archerfield-based aero club became the Royal Queensland Aero Club in 1935.
