Built as A-26C-35-DT 44-35440 by Douglas at Tulsa and served with the Armee de l'Air with s/n 435440 in Indochina during 1954/5. Sold as N6838D in 1966 and to Conair in June 1971 as CF-MSB. Operated as fire service #25. To the Travis AFB Museum in the 1990s and displayed in USAAF markings. By 2005 set up as a Bay of Pigs memorial in Cuban Air Force colours at Tamiami.

Tanker 25 was grounded with an engine snag at the time I took this photo. It was retired by the end of 1987 and eventually found its way to the USAF Museum at Travis Air Force Base.

Registered to Rock Island Oil & Refining Co., having been converted to Rock Island Consort 26 with special equipment visible below the fuselage. Sold to Conair Aviation of Abbotsford/BC in 1971 where it was converted for the air tanker role as CF-MSB. Final assignment is masquerading as Cuban Air Force 931 at the Wings Over Miami Museum. Ex air tanker C-FMSB. Served with the French air force in Vietnam. Converted to a corporate aircraft then a tanker. Acquired by the USAF Museum in 1988 and displayed at Travis in its original serial. Since this photo the A-26 has been relocated to Florida and painted as Cuban air force aircraft serial 931.

This Invader is on loan from the USAF museum (ex USAAF 44-35440) and preserved in false Fuerza Aérea de Liberación (FAL) marks to commemorate the Bay of Pigs Invasion in 1961.
