Former RCAF and British Columbia government Beech 18 was with Norther Thunderbird Air 1980 - 96. It was sold in the USA as N62936 where it is still current at the time of uploading.

Seen while it was with the Provincial Government doing photo surveys and mapping. In 1971 it went to Northern Thunderbird Air in Prince George and is now N62936 located in Hemet, California. I flew in the Expeditor several times a long time ago.

CF-BCE at the time was owned by the British Columbia Government and used in the photo survey role. After its work was done it was sold to Northern Thunderbird Airlines of Prince George BC. I had several flights in this aircraft during the 80's and was surprised to find it at Hemet California in 2010, registered as N62936. Traces of its former Canadian reg can be seen under the wing. This aircraft was once with the RCAF as 1463. It is currently being restored to flying status at Hemet.

This Expeditor worked for many years in British Columbia as CF-BCE with the provincial government doing photo surveys, then with Northern Thunderbird Air in Prince George. I had several flights in her in the eighties and it's good to meet up with this one again.

Modified by the Canadian Department of Transport in 1961 adding a new nose extension with three glass panels and a belly camera port, this Twin Beech was used by the Province of British Colombia for aerial photography and survey until 1971. Taxiing out here with Northern Thunderbird, it was sold to the USA as N62936 in 1996.
