While Air Canada bought Canadian Airlines in 2000, the airline was operated separately until May 2002 when operations were merged. Some Canadian aircraft wore this interim color scheme (with a Star Alliance logo added on the 747 as Canadian transferred from One World). The 747 is pictured operating without winglets for a very short time. One winglet was damaged in a ground incident and to keep the aircraft flying, the other was removed while the damaged one was repaired / replaced.

Delivered to Canadian Airlines International in December 1990 as C-GMWW. To Air Canada in March 2001. To Pegasus Aviation in May 2005 as N987PG. To Aerolineas Argentinas in June 2005. Withdrawn from use on January 13, 2012. Stored at Marana on June 14, 2012. To Ansett Worldwide in June 2012 as N287AW. Broken up at Marana in December 2013.

Delivered new to Canadian in December 1990. That became Air Canada in March 2001. In May 2005 to Aerolineas Argentinas (LV-BBU), until returned to lessor in June 2012, for storage at Mojave (AZ)

Previously operated as C-GMWW with Canadian Airlines International. LV-BBU with Aerolineas from 06.05 until 06.12.

Canada's first 747-400 in it's last days with Canadian Airlines. Although Air Canada owned Canadian since January 2000, the actual merger would not begin until after March 2001. The 747 would be taken out of service by Air Canada October 2003 and stored at Marana, AZ. Sold in 2005 to Pegasus Aviation and leased to Aerolineas Argentinas (LV-BBU), it was finally withdrawn in January 2012. Engines and most removable parts were taken by the end of the year.
