The first visit of an electric powered aircraft to Toronto took place on July 11 when Beta Technologies CX300, N916LF, stopped overnight at Billy Bishop Toronto City Centre Airport (CYTZ) on its ferry flight to Oshkosh, WI for display at EAA AirVenture. This is the passenger version of the CX300 with seating for two pilots and four passengers.

Two different Beta Technologies CX300 electric conventional takeoff and landing (eCTOL) visited Billy Bishop City Centre Airport this summer. The latest visitor was N401NZ which is the fourth CX300 to fly. It only had 15 hrs total time when it departed Burlington, VT on Aug. 16 for Toronto, recharging at Rome and Rochester airports along the way. The Toronto visit included several flights with Canadian customers and partners as passengers. Later this year, N401NZ will be shipped to New Zealand for flight familiarization training with Air New Zealand, which has ordered CX300s for postal routes.

The conventional take-off and landing version of the Beta Technologies Alia CX300 was introduced to the public at the 2025 Paris Airshow. With several aircraft testing across Europe, the US and Canada, N336MR made it's first appearance at AirVenture 2025.

The CX300 is an all-electric aircraft that is designed to charge in under an hour, and can be used in passenger, cargo, medical, or military configurations. It is powered by a single rear-mounted pusher motor.
