Highlight of our day, a Boeing 737-200 blasting off from the runway in Montreal. C-FFAL was build in 1979 for Air Tanzania. First serving as 5H-MRK. Later it was flying for Nationwide with a South African Registration ZS-OWM. Since 2005 it operates here in Canada as C-FFAL. Now serving the Raglan Mine. Raglan is owned by the Glencore corporation. The Raglan mine sits upon one of the world's finest sulphide nickel deposits in the vast Ungava Peninsula, in Nunavik, some 1800 km north of Montréal. They produce not only nickel but also in smaller quantities copper and cobalt.

Delivered new 16th May 1979 and became ZS-OWM 19th June 2002

Delivered new 15th Dec 1978 and became ZS-SMX 2nd Nov 2009

After 30 years of service with Air Tanzania, 1979 - 2009, Air Tanzania replaced this Boeing 737-200. Now parked at the maintenance ramp of Lanseria, awaiting a new owner. It still flew for almost 10 more years in Africa, before ending up in Lagos Nigeria.

This 737 was a visitor to the Aer Lingus maintence facilities in Dublin.

One of a pair of B732s bought by Air Tanzania, this one was delivered in 5.79 and is seen here just after a wash during a maintenance visit. To ZS-OWM in 12.02 then C-FFAL in 09.04, last operated for a company called Xstrata
