Ex BM597. Allocated 5718M while used as a training airframe at St Athan in 1945. Served as a gate guard at RAF Hednesford from July 1950 and RAF Bridgenorth from 1955 before moving to Church Fenton in 1962. Sold and registered as G-MKVB in 1989 and returned to flying condition in 1997 by HFL Ltd on behalf of the Historic Aircraft Collection. RAF Church Fenton's gate guardian as 5718M between 1962 and 1975, when it moved to RAF Henlow for use in the Battle of Britain movie as a static airframe. It was later sold as G-MKVB and returned to flying condition, and is now a regular at Duxford's Flying Legends air displays.
